This policy covers laknobandtube.com, operated by LA Knob and Tube. It explains what happens to the details you send and what the site does in your browser. Questions go to office@laknobandtube.com.
What a form collects
When you send an estimate request, quote request or checklist request, the form sends:
- your first and last name, phone number and email address
- your ZIP code and your city or neighborhood
- the service you choose and the message you write
- the page you sent the form from and the kind of form it was, which on the tool pages includes your estimator or assessment answers
- a general traffic source category, such as "Google Organic", "Referral" or "Direct", worked out from the link that brought you to the site. Search terms are not collected.
The form also has a hidden field that people never see. It is used only to spot automated spam.
Where it goes
The form sends your details to a Cloudflare Pages Function on this site, which passes them to the customer relationship management system LA Knob and Tube uses to keep track of requests. Your browser does not send them anywhere else.
The details are used to answer your request, arrange a walk-through and quote, and carry out work you ask for. Because the work is carried out by licensed and insured electrical contractors, your request is shared with the contractor who would do the job.
Spam protection
When you start filling in a form, the site loads Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the request comes from a person and not an automated script. Turnstile processes information about your browser and connection for that check, under Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy addendum.
Analytics
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure how quickly pages load. It works without cookies and does not follow you to other sites. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
What the site stores in your browser
The site keeps the traffic source category in your browser's session storage for the length of your visit, so a form you send later in the same visit carries it. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab. The site sets no cookies of its own.
The cost estimator and the assessment run in your browser. Your answers stay on your device unless you send them with a form, and they appear in the page address so you can share a link to your result.
Calls and email
If you call or email, LA Knob and Tube receives your phone number or email address and what you say, and uses them in the same way as a form request.
Your requests
To ask what details are held about you, to correct them or to have them deleted, email office@laknobandtube.com from the address you used, or say which phone number you used.
Other sites
Links to agencies such as LADBS or the Contractors State License Board lead to sites with their own privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it.
